Piano-moving FAIL!
Hint: When transporting an upright piano in the back of a pickup truck . . .
My Dad was helping to move a piano when we lived overseas. He lucked out though. The piano fell out of an old VW pickup landed standing up, sustained no damage and wasn't even out of tune when finally reloaded and delivered.
My wife, son and I moved a piano last fall. We tied it in and braced it with boards.
I am always amazed at how few people actually strap stuff down when hauling. I just hope I'm not the person behind the idiot who doesn't understand why we tie things down.
I saw a guy lose an unsecured refrigerator out of a pickup. The car behind him had no chance to swerve, so yes, the driver left a young widow and two children.

The thing is that from their comments they knew they might have a problem but apparently figured a camera was what would save the day. Idiots.

I guess they never heard of tie down straps. You can get them at any hardware store for a fraction of the cost of a new piano.
Waiting til you're moving in a straight line before accelerating: Maybe not priceless, but worth at least the cost of a new piano!
